I used to teach part time for about 5 years at a very small night school just for some extra cash. I was very loyal to this school and never really did anything to warrant any kind of reprimand. I taught a couple days a week at this week, while being a full time high school teacher during the day. I really enjoyed it beca

I responded that per their last email my services were no longer needed, and that my assessments had been questioned throughout the year so why would they want those invalid student records? I then promptly disposed of the grade book that had 4 months of student grades, let the administration know that I w

Font - SearsShearsSeries 2 days ago My department bullied me and harassed me for 10 months and sent me nasty text messages when I resigned at the end of my contract to the point where I had to contact law enforcement. Yesterday, I get a text message from one of the other members of the department asking for my records and all the work I did last year. Guess who got screenshots of the nasty text messages back and none of my hard work schools are just toxic cesspools and I can't wait for my loans

Font - Wyddershins867 - 2 days ago Why didn't they just give the students a new assessment test to gauge progress and go from there? And why are the grades for an enrichment type of program so important anyway? There are tons of standardized language tests out there to assess language levels and many of them are free. 431 Reply Share cb92392 OP. 2 days ago That's exactly what ended up happening from my understanding. 293 Reply Share ...

Font - SnooGoats625 - 2 days ago . Why would anyone think they would fire you on the spot yet expect you to work free? Giving notice allows you to hand-off your work and to assure that someone is available to teach. Obviously, if you give notice but are fired on the spot, they are telling you they have everything they need from you. I don't blame you. Stuff like this is why youth walks out without notice. ↑ 27 ↓ Reply Share

Font - tomtomclubthumb 2 days ago For those complaining about the grade book. A teacher is expected to keep records and provide information. But not to turn over all that they have. For example I am expected to write reports each term for each student. I wouldn't hand over the notes I used to write them. I would hand over the grades for tests that counted towards the grade, but I wouldn't have to hand over the papers themselves. Reply Share 186
